    Burning the midnight oil.

Now I'll preference this with yes, I am using auto-lights because anything else is more micro that I think is warranted at all. Having said that thou...

Does anyone else find it strange that when a sim goes to sleep nearly all the lights in the house stay on but for the bedroom that the sim is in? I can understand that if a TV/radio/computer is left on it would stay on but why keep all the lights on?

I have not read, unless I missed it, in the manual if keeping things on effects your bills or the bills are calculated by some other means but if it is the former it would seem that there is some vast sim conspiracy to keep electric bills high by leaving all these lights on.

I dont think there are electric bills... and anyways, I think the lights just auto-turn on at night. I dont think it matters about the cost or anything. I dont often deal with lights much anyways.

I think it's weird that the lights stay on all night long as well... I almost prefer the TS1 way of the lights coming on when the Sim enters the room, and go off when they leave. That is what I thought "auto-lights" meant.

The only times I ever mess with the lights is when I've finished building a house, I select which lights I want to stay on all the time, usually a couple outside lights, just to keep the place from going totally dark.

But I think at 2am when the outside lights turn off, all the lights should turn off in the house except for in the room any sims are occuping...

What a waste of electricity! Lol.
