    Butterflies?

I have a question, what is required to have butterflies/fireflies in your garden?

They dont appear at all in the home I built for my sims. I built the home after I got my 'seasons' expansion, and somehow the butterflies/fireflies dont appear AT ALL in my garden. I went to other sim homes available in the same neighbourhood, and the butterflies appeared

I have a fairly nice garden in the sim home, a pool, a pond, garden plots and trees, but why arent the butterflies appearing? :( Is anyone facing the same problem?

Jess, it sounds that one particluar lot is bugged. The butterlies/fireflies are spawned by an invisible marker which seems to me to appear in certain specific spots. It might be that your lot has a dead marker already on that square. You could try Pescado's lot debugger (from MATY), but if that doesn't work the only cure would be moving the family to a new lot.

So all I gotta do is place this in my downloads folder? I read what it does, but I dont see any of it written to help the scenario you explained? I didn't get most of what it does anyway lol

But Ill give it a shot, hopefully it works, because I adore that home as I managed to make a pond which Im satisfied with :p

    suitemichelle Gramma's here!

It's a book you buy under miscellaneous in the last catagory you place in anyway then you click on it and it takes care of most problems. But still occasionally you run into a problem lot that just has to be nuked.

Yeah, it's sorta black with yellow bat symbol on the top.

I think the option you'll need is the Force Errors one.

First save the game (unless you just loaded it)

Then select force errors and be prepared to be patient. The debugger will force an error on every item on the lot. Each time you will be offered the options: Delete, Reset, Cancel.

Delete will be expensive so be careful about using that. (Note even sims are objects as far as the game is concerned)

Reset is the option you should click for every error. Afterward, you'll find that every sim who was doing something has stopped. (good reason to do this at getting up time ... it's gets the lazy so & so's outa bed real quick ;) )

Ignore Cancel (there's no point doing the routine if you cancel any of the errors).

If this doesn't work, you could try it again, but watch carefully for objects described as place markers, destinations etc. and delete them. This might make matters worse, so don't do it unless you willing to experiment.

Remember that until you save and exit you can always exit without saving and go back to what you had before ....

    Sorry it ain't easy :)

Well I rebuilt the home on a new plot of empty land at a different location on the neighbourhood, and I used the batman box in the way you described, and by far it only showed that the tree was blocking my sims way (Not sure thats related with the debugger box) and thats about it.

I hadnt seen butterflies at all. Do butterflies appear everyday during spring or is it random and not everyday? My sim wants to catch butterflies but theres none for them and I even changed my entire 4 seasons to "spring"
