Can a teen boy have a beard? Mine did. I don't think this is a normal occurance but wanted to know if it's happened to anyone else. I had a teen boy just a few days from adulthood, I always wait until the last moment to send them to college, when I changed his appearance something strange happened. When I got him into where you change their appearance he looked different. At first I just chaulked it up to the fact that my computer can only handle the sims on the lowest settings. But then I realized that I could give him facial hair. I gave him a goatee that looked very good on him and went back to live mode. Then I realize his shirt had changed to something he didn't own yet. When it came time for him to go to college his appearance didn't change and he was now wearing the shirt he wore in his icon. So basically going in to change his appearance a couple of days before he became a YA triggered him to grow into a YA. He still went to high school and was still in love with his HS sweetie. In appearance he was a YA but in every other way he was still a teen! Ruth
Teen males can be given beards, although their beardset is slightly more limited than adults. The really long ones are not available.
Do you need sims College? Will they still be able to have a beard if you only have Sims 2? Alison, 14
Beards are under "change appearance" for teen boys on up. You don't need any expansion packs for that. You can also give them glasses, full facial makeup (I think one of the general's kids in Strangetown wears camo) and change their hairstyle. Boys can also wear makeup if you want them to. And so can the girls, of course.
But why did he change from being a teen to a YA? Well let me say that another way, his face and body size changed but he was still wearing the same outfit but his icon changed to that of the YA. I couldn't figure out where he got that outfit from because it wasn't in his wardrobe, then when he went to college BAM there it was. Ruth
I guess changing his appearance so close to his age transition caused a glitch. I'm just surprised someone else hasn't experienced it before though. Anyway I won't be doing that again. Ruth
