CaSIE - What's the full name Anyone has give much thought on what the entire word CaSIE Means? My guess is Create A Sim Interactive Editor
no clue. but whatever it means i want it real bad. im gonna make a pefect polygon for polygon recreation of myself for ts2. gave myself an idea there. how about when casie is released every1 makes a full blown recreation of theirselves for ts2 and someone work on a worldsims lot including all of us?
I think it depends on if you've been online since a thread was last posted in, Suite. I'm not too sure what CaSIE means... I just assumed Create a Sim International Editor.
Here's hoping it's in January! I like the idea of a WorldSims lot and little sims versions of us all running around wreaking havok! Add another fat lady to the plans!
When in January? It's just that I'm going back to that mousetrap called 'school' and if CaSIE is coming out late january, then things at my school are going to be very slow...
I'd like to know when too... my birthday is coming up... I think it would be fun if it comes out before my birthday!
It would be grand if it came out, soon so then i could have some relief from school, college and sims don't mix, but one makes silky happy.
good guesses, altec_tech and ManagerJosh. "Independent Editor" or "Interactive Editor" seems to be two very likely meanings for CASIE. I personally couldn't come up with anything else that started with "I" that would fit...
There's a website that's calling it 'Create-A-Sim-Interactive-Editor', though probably not at all reliable. Still it's likely....
I think it's taking longer to release the sims editor (Create a Sim Import Export or Sims Bodyshop) because they may be making more changes that will affect how the skins and meshes work. It would be bad to release the skins editor and then change how the skinning will work and have users not able to use all their skins they made with the now OLD editor! That's just my guess though, since there's the big delay in the whole game and that means they might still be working on stuff in the game that could affect how the skins and meshes work....
CaSIE Bodyshop I think that they have been having problems with polygon intersection. That's something that could really have an impact on how Bodyshop works with the game. But then, there may be something else about the interaction between the Bodyshop output and how the Sims work in the game. I have a feeling that they aren't going to tell us exactly what the problems are, however.
We'll probably never know exactly what caused all the delays.... sigh.... Except that whatever it was it must have been a pretty BAD problem!
