Cell Phones/ MP3 Player... My teen has a want to get a cell, handheld game, and MP3 player....I am in Veronavile...I went to all the community lots there and I can't seem to find where the vending viosk is to buy one of those things. Can some1 help me out...
If you are looking at them at your basic community lots, then they won't be there. You need to open those lots and add them in "buy" mode from the neighborhood screen. Or, wait until she goes to college, and they will be there at some of the college community lots. Do you really want her to have one? Becuase they aren't so great to have. There have been reports of strange things happening when you save a lot and the sim is using the cell phone. Plus, if it rings while your sim is sleeping, it will wake her up, not matter if you want her to wake up or not. And the handheld games and mp3 player are big distractions to sims!!! Say you want her to do her homework. When her fun level gets low, but she's not finished, she will quit studying and start playing with the handheld or the MP3 player!!! Or if they have a second to entertain themselves, they will whip those out and play with them. When you cancel the operation to make them do something more important, it will take forever for them to stop playing and put them away.
Yeah Kristal is right. Those pesky devices are more nuisance than useful. If you want to add a kiosk to a community lot in Veronaville then you need to go into a community lot from the neighborhood screen instead of loading a family (you will have to click the Houses button first otherwise you just get a helpful message saying that it a community lot and can't be played. When it loads you will be able to build and buy stuff. Pescado's forum has some useful hacks (little files that sit in the download folder and can be removed easily if not liked) that make those gizmos easier to live with.
