Clothes Hi Guys, i know i might be getting a little annoying asking all these, proably obvious questions, but as you can tell i dont know much about TS2. Well anyway, i made my sim go downtown to do the groceries, but being a girl i just had to check out the sims clothing. So one thing led to another and i bought an outfit. When i arrived back home, my sim didnt have the clothing that i bought. Where did it go? i clicked on the wardrobe and when i clicked on plan outfit, my clothes werent there?? * * * * Can anyone help me Thanks Narra Girl
Was it an outfit, or a top or bottom? If it was an outfit, and you were currently wearing a combination of a shirt or bottom, then you have to click on the outfits section on the left side of the .... plan outfit thing. I'm not a great Sims 2 technical expert, but this might be the problem. If not, then I'll have to ask as well. This has happened to me too, when I bring Brandi Broke to buy clothes downtown, but when she comes home, I make Beau click on the wardrobe, and 'Plan Outfit', but there's nothing other than his current outfit.
As far as I can tell, it's a game glitch that just happens sometimes. I've had that happen to me, too, and then later on in the game the clothes showed up. Another time, they didn't. I guess your Sim will just have to buy more. I also had some disappearing Chinese food one time. They ordered it, the guy came, no one was available to receive delivery, he left, they paid, the food disappeared. I thought he'd just set it down like the grocery guy does if no one's there ... You actually buy groceries? How industrious. My lazy Sims always order them for delivery ...
You actually order groceries? How devoted, I usually just kaching and buy a new fridge Only kidding. I only do that on families that I am not using cheats to play.
I don't use kaching in one neighborhood, but I do in my other one because I have a specific "look" I want and it doesn't include tiny little cottages ... Hey, instead of a fridge or stove another thread gave me an (expensive) idea: just have a buffet table. Wouldn't work if you had infants or toddlers, but otherwise, no muss, no fuss ... just a lot of "kaching." Wish I had one of those in my real house ...
Wherein may lie the clue! My biggest problems with "plan outfit" happened when someone else bought clothes for a family member ... I've had toddlers and teens who couldn't wear clothes mom bought ... or maybe they just didn't want to? Either way, that's usually when I can't find them, although sometimes it works just fine, which is good because I have some really cute toddler and child clothes that they can't very well buy for themselves. So, next time have Beau do his own darned shopping.
