Clothing in Shops Does anybody out there know how to download clothes into shops so Sims can buy new outfits? If so, could you explain it really simply? Many thanks.
To have clothes that your sims can buy downtown in the expansions, put your clothes to buy in C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\ExpansionShared\SkinsBuy Skin names that start with F will appear as Formalwear, S will be swimsuits, L will be sleepwear, and W will be Winterwear. I hope this helps!

Howdy all, Still seem to be having trouble getting my clothes in the shops :( This is what I did: 1. I downloaded some groovy looking gear into the file C:\ProgramFiles\Maxis\TheSims\ExpansionShared\SimsBuy 2. I extracted all files from the zipped up versions 3. I went in to the game and took a character downtown to buy 4. Got really frustrated when I realised the clothes weren't there 5. Picked a fight with the nearest Sim to me 6. Took a taxi back home to take out more of my bad mood on my Sim partner Where did I go wrong????
It sounds like you did everything right to me! All I can think of is checking the file names of the buyable clothes to make sure they start with F, L, S etc. Sorry it's not working for you! (though I can hope you've gotten it to work by now... )
