Combine Families So I made a family, moved him into a house, then my friend came over and made a guy and moved him into a house and we spent some time trying to find a way for our guys to meet so one of us could invite the other to move in. Can your player-created guy never meet another player-created person? And I've also heard something about combining families somehow? Is this possible?
yes, you can combine them. And if you have to ep Nightlife then you could send one of your sims to a downtown area and hopfully see the other person-created sim there. Or you could do it the old fashioned way and just wait for them to hopefully walk by. You also can move one of them out of their house, into the family bin, then select that family in the family bin, click on the other household and when it says "do you want to combine the two households?" click yes.
Everytime I click a family and then click a house that has a family in it already, all it says is "This lot is occupied"
Combining families is not possible until you have one of the expansion packs like University or Seasons. Sorry. If you want to force the issue there is a way. Ctrl + Shift + C boolProp testing CheatsEnabled true Hold down the shift key and click a sim, huge new menu appears. Look thru the options for the one spawn Click that. Woo! Huge array of new option. Choose the one: Tombstone of L & D A gravestone will appear next to the sim. Click the tombstone and from the huge menu appearing look for the option add neighbor to family Now the fun really begins. Every sim in the neighborhood, from maids to paper girl, from fireman to social bunny, even Chloe Organza and Goopy Gils Garbo. The names come atcha 11 at a time ... so it takes a dogs age to get to the sim you want. If you miss him, you gotta start over (or keep going until he comes around again.) Afterwards, delete the tombstone (sell it), and turn off the debug cheats by: Ctrl + Shift + C boolProp testing CheatsEnabled false Enjoy.
