i think Bush has finnally gone over the edge with privacy...i use peer-to-peer, i don't want some low-life jerk lookin in on my computer, i agree with you Josh, i think its stupid
If Congress dares to pass this bill, I'm gonna fly to Washington and protest in front of the capital.
Wasn't it some other people than Bush? i dont think i saw Bush in there at all. But, i do agree, somewhat, with you guys, And with the last guy that was quoted. "They" (being the copyright people or whatever) shouldn't be able to hack into some ones computer, and shut down their DSL or phone line. Nor should they be able to shut down some one who only uses the P2P rarely. And even then they shouldn't be able to shut the people who transfer thousands of files or whatever, they should only put them into jail for x number of years, and fine them x amount of money. And maybe, note MAYBE, plug their, and only THEIR connections to the P2P network they were on. Then there is the problem of finding out who exactly is doing this stuff. Hack into their comp? no, illigal. Bribe people to give names? nope, pretty sure thats illigal. and if they connected to P2P connections, they would have to hack into themselves and disable their own connections. Just some of my views on it, feel free to criticize it.
