This is the trial for spore creature creator, not the bought version... I have tried reinstalling it, but no changes...
nope downloaded and applied patch but just comes up with the same error report... ...Im quite lost too...
Ok heres the dxdiag.txt on my first computer (The one that had the problem 1st) --Dxdiag1 And the one called Dxdiag2 is on my other one that has the same problem... Maybe its because they are both running off the same DirectX is why they aren't working well...
Let's see if a set of graphic driver updates would help. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_175.19_whql.html
Ok i got through the first part of the setup, but then it tells me: The NVIDIA setup program could not find any drivers compatible with your current hardware. The setup will now exit. Does that mean my drivers are up to date?
One thing you need to know is the 6200 is a Turbocache card meaning it utilizes the memory on the motherboard that you have now. Since there's only 512 mb of ram present on the motherboard it could be the card is using too much memory for the laptop to run properly. Basically it's stealing memory you have away from programs that should be using it instead. Maybe if you had more memory installed in your laptop ( like a full GB of ram ) it would run a bit better. Also you might try turning off any non-essential programs while you play and see if it helps. Disconnect from the internet while you play and turn off your anti-virus and firewall to free up some processing power. Windows xp really needs 512 mb of ram to run really good but it will run on 256 mb of ram (poorly I might add) You can always create now and then go back later and upload anything you've made later when you're not creating or just upload here and avoid the Sporepedia hassle.
