    download problems

    i downloaded a lot of objects from the internet and transfered them to my other pc to put in the folder for the sims 2.

    i put them in c:\program files\ea games\the sims 2\downloads

    the folder wasnt there when i did it so i had to create the 'downloads' folder. all the carpets/wallpapers/clothes worked, they all came with a file which i had to open in order for them to work, so did a couple of the objects.. most of the objects however (about 90 in total) didnt come with this file and dont show up in the game.

    most of the object files that didnt work are called 'package file' in the file type.

    do i need a program to make these work or should they have all had another file with them to make them work?

    thanks for any advice.

    All user files for The Sims 2 are stored in the My Documents folder;

    Specifically:

    C:\Documents and Settings\~username~\
    My Documents\ EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads

    .package files are correct

    You may need a an extra package called the Color Enabler Package if you have downloaded recolored objects - but most clothing should be fine.
