Downloading nursery items?? help My favorite part of the Sims2 game has to be the babies and toddlers. I really want to be able to download packages of nursery items that match and are adorable. I have found a ton of sites that have them, but after I am done downloading, they NEVER work, or only parts of them work. I will get those big package files with the zipper on them... Well they don't download or install when you click on them like some of the other files I download do. What can I do or should I do, to make these downloads work in my game? Is there a certain way to install them or a folder they specifically need to be in to work? Any help would be wonderful! THANKS! OH YEAH! Also, if anyone knows of any really great FREE downloads for cute nurserys I would LOVE to know, thanks again
you need something like winzip to extract from 'zipped files', but you have to pay for that & i think 7zip can work with them too, but its free & meant to compress better http://www.7-zip.org/ basically you just double click o the file & press extract & tell to put the file in my doc/ea games blah blah lol. should work then & it could not be working because you mightn't have the mesh or don't have the expansions requiered by the download
Get the Sims 2 File Maid. You can find her by searching on Google. You can drag zip or rar files onto her "lawn" and she'll install them in the game for you. One easy step. You can do several at once. Have you checked out Simsquirts and Sims 2 Day? They've both got lots of cute baby and toddler stuff. I also like the diaper/t-shirt/socks combination that I believe I got from MTS2. I think it looks more like what I used to dress my kid in, and the socks are adorable. There are pictures in my story thread if you want to see what they look like.
I've downloaded potty's and toybox's of different colours, but how do I use them in the game? What are they under? If I hold the mouse over (for example) the potty, the colour options only say red, the default colour.
If the recolors "took," when you click on the base item you should see an arrow pointing to other options. You need to hold the mouse over the item for a moment and then the other choices will appear in a pop-up window. It takes a little practice. Witch Baby had to show me that there were different color options for most of the furniture and stuff.
You both probably need to download the CEP. You can find a link to it here: www.modthesims2.com. Cute free Baby Stuff? www.simsquirts.com and www.tsc2.com
