downloading what is the process for downloading from fansites for the SIMS 2. What file do the skin, objects, etc go in. can someone send me the steps.
All downloads which are not .sims2skins or .sims2pack go into: My Documents\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\downloads. The .sims2skin files and .sims2pack files are self installing like an .exe file. With those you just double click on it and the downloads will go into the appropriate file. Generally you'll get a screen asking if you want to install the content. Once installed (if you didn't have a corrupted file) it will tell you that it is successfully installed.
