    Downtown changing rooms?

This is really starting to get on my nerves...

When you're in downtown, even though you can place wardrobes, you can't make your sims change their clothes from normal to formal to underwear or whatever.

For instance, if you make them swim, they stay in their bathing suits until you leave the lot, in which case they change back to normal. I've tried everything I can think of. The changing rooms for stores don't work. Trying on other clothes doesn't work. So you can't swim and then change for dinner - you just have to go in a fancy restaurant with a bathing suit.

I understand it probably isn't in the coding to transfer all of your sims bought clothes to a downtown wardrobe... but isn't there some way they can change what particular outfit they're wearing at will? I'm pretty sure there was something like that in the old sims (maybe the vacation expansion).

What about showers. I seem to recall having a sim at the downtown gym change back to normal after he took a shower. I could be wrong, but you might five it a try.

Yeah, that does work, but what about formalwear?
Though I'll keep your suggestion in mind - at least normal clothes are better than bathing suits in a fancy restaurant.

So what would happen if he went to the pool in formal wear? Would he change back to formal? Or to Everyday clothes? This is an interesting problem. I'm going to have to experiment. :)

They'd change back to Everyday. I've gotten used to my sims eating in fancy restaurants in their pajamas (if they're lazy) or their bathing suits (if there's a hot tub/pool).

If you really hate it don't put a hot tub or pool on the same lot as a fancy restaurant. That's really the only way to prevent it completely.

I love lazy sims. I can relate. :D
