EdenStyle walks us through the Create-A-World tool for The Sims 3

Too much awesomeness during these past two days…I’m bursting for excitement.* Yesterday’s GameSpot article about the Create-A-World tool was nice, but I was hoping for more.* Luckily EdenStyle pulled through and uploaded a nice walkthrough on her Facebook page.

Create a World tool is a new official program that lets you design and create a complete world from scratch or from premade worlds.
It will be released in December on the official website, for free.

The first step is to load a PNG template file.
Then, you can add mountains, hills, lakes, roads, trees… Doing it is pretty easy, and you can also select the brush settings, paint and smooth the angles.

When you sculpt your World, you can choose different options.

Brushes can be changed and saved.

Some mountains. Creating them is very easy, more or less like you do in The Sims… or SimCity!
Advanced users can decide the parts of the map where the camera is non-routable.

You can also add water. Look at the pic: it looks so realistic!

Terrain can be painted. Just select the texture and use the brush. You can upload customized textures.

Roads are amazing because you can change the shape, make curves…

    Roads creation.

You can create all the kinds of roads you can imagine. Look at this one: it looks weird… but it can be done!

You can add to the map all the landscape objects you want, like rocks, waterfalls, trees… Those objects can be rotated and moved up and down.

Objects can also float in the air.

You can also add collectibles spawners. In this way, the Sims that will go there will have more possibilities to find a certain kind of items, like rocks, fishes and so on…

You can add all the lots that you want, just use the tool and drag the area. You can also choose the lot type and the subtype.

You can decide the value of the area.

You can add crooswalks and change their shape.

If you add a grey scaled PNG pic of a flower, your World will look like it.

A special option lets you change the sea level.
