    Enabling Content Freezes Game

So whenever I enable custom content for the game, it freezes when I try to go into a family. It looks like it's loading because it's on the family loading screen, but I've waited for over an hour at one point and it never loaded. I'm not sure what to do :\

Sounds to me like you might have a conflict with one of your downloads.

    Try this:

Drag your Downloads folder out of My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 onto the desktop.

Create a new Downloads folder in My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 and copy a handful of your downloads over.

If the game works OK, (and you should probably play one of the small households that's not too important to you) then copy a few more items over.

Eventually, if a download is the problem, one of those handfuls will give you the same big problem you've been having, and you will have narrowed the search down. Then, of course, you'd have to test each one.

By the way, KatAnubis has more than 40,000 downloads and it takes her game about half an hour to load. I'm assuming you don't have that many downloads.

40000 o_o;? I only have 5700. Is there any way to seperate the skins and sims themselves that I've downloaded from the objects I've downloaded, or do I have to go through each one to find out if it's a skin or object?
