Evil bug in University I don't know if its been touched upon in these forums, but its pretty amusing actually, (Unless you didn't save for a bit). Basically, If you perform on any musical instrument, and you cancel the action, at the same time a roomie is standing exactly where your Sim would stand to collect the tip jar, they sort of meld together in an Agent Smith style Matrix action. The problem is that they're stuck there, unable to move because the Music action doesn't end until the tip jar is collected, and the ROomie shows no signs of attempting to leave either. Just a precaution save early, or try to end the performance action when the coast seems clear.
LOL. Thos sorts of animations hang-ups are best cured by opening the cheat dialog box and entering moveobjects on and then (in build or buy mode) picking up and deleting the offending townie (they will usually come unglued from whatver they are stuck to, but if not just delete the whole show. Then save and exit and reload and (apart from any property you may have deleted) all is back to working order. Any sims belonging to the house who get deleted will be found standing by the mailbox ... maybe with a puzzled look on their face 'how in tarnation did I get here?' I just deleted all the grandparents of a new sim baby cos they were all visiting at once and the poor baby was stuck on the floor and everyone was always waiting for one of the GP's to come pick it up ... I wouldn't have minded but but the family live in a (rare for me) 2 storey house and so the constant bickering over the staircase was starting to drive me utterly doolally omnicidal [Sic] I got so hopping mad I had to come here to calm down ...
I don't do anything when that happens (and it's not just with townies) as they come unstuck as soon as they collect the money. If I do anything, it's to have another Sim "Shoo" the person who is in the way of the musician collecting his tips.
