    Far Cry 2

So who out there has run out grabbed this game?
I picked up my copy last night but I've not installed it yet.
Then to boot we have Fallout 3 next week which my local Wal-mart says they have in stock already and then Sacred 2 the week of Nov. 11th!!
Too many great titles coming out here in a month's time!

Far Cry 2 - Pyrotechnical effects are simply powerful !!!

Far Cry 2 is maybe a little repetitive but have some great innovation like growing vegetation, destroy the vegetetation with your bullets and check the sun light between the tree foliage !!! Simply amazing graphics !!! Pyrotechnical effects are simply powerful !!! We really feel free in this big 50 km square map with NO LOADIND !!! He score 9/10 for me !!! I'm very satisfy and i like set fire everywhere Ha Ha Ha !!!.

I recommand you Far Cry 2 Resources Camp:

I've heard the same thing about it's repetetiveness.
Actually right after I bought this and I was cleaning and defragging the computer and installing new video drivers my hard drive decided to die on me.
But by the time I got it going again Fallout 3 had came out and now I've been playing the crap out of it!

Actually I've been playing the crap out of this game and despite it's repetitiveness it's actually a great game.
Great visuals and yes the ability to set fire to just about anything in the game is cool too.
Getting pretty close to the end of the game too.

    Exactly Rocky!
At least the convoy missions are really easy if you just wait a bit.
You don't even have to really go down after them as once the main truck is destroyed it's done .
There's usually so much other traffic/animals/ or crazy places in the roads that eventually the target truck will be so damaged and quit the mission will be over.

farcry 2 is very repetitive but still a lot of fun.be aware of the number of times you install and uninstall as well as when you get to about 5 reinstalls it wont let you do it.there is a patch on the net which will help.cheers

I kinda wish they'd left the predators in the game.
When the game first came out the testers were complaing about the lions and stuff attacking their guy and killing him.
Personally I think it'd be fun to have to fight them as well as luring them into a enemy encampment to distract them or get rid as many of them as possible first.

Depends what version you're asking about.
KiY seems to be talking about the console game (which I have never played), which came out after the PC version. The PC version is completely different. It is quite long, I didn't finish it, but that was because I didn't like running around killing mutants.

The only link with FC2 is the name and publisher. Basically EA bought the company that made Far Cry 1, and left Ubisoft with the name 'Far Cry'. Crysis is the sequel to Far Cry made by the original team (Crytek) shooting aliens instead of mutants, Far Cry 2 is completely seperate.
