    Fencing in dogs?

I was wondering if it's possible to fence your dogs in a certain area so that they couldn't get out? You know, like "outside dogs" that stay outside in a fenced area where the Sim can go in a refill food bowls and whatnot, but the dog cannot get out?
Is that possible? If so how do I do it? I saw that you can "lock" gates and doors, but I don't know which option to choose or if you can even do that?

There should be an option for "Disallow Pets" when you click to lock a gate or door. I always do the "Disallow Pets" lock on gates and doors for those houses that have no pets at all. It keeps out the strays who will often chew up the patio furniture.

I have few houses with pets. I lock them inside the house at night, usually in one room where all their stuff is. I guess you could do the same with a fenced yard.
