Ferry Company Suing US Airways For Rescuing Flight 1549 http://blogs.wsj.com/middleseat/200...eparing-lawsuit-against-carrier/?mod=yahoo_hs Anyone smell a frivolous lawsuit here? And why on earth does it take 48hours to reopen some routes? I don't get it. How's that even possible? What ever happened to being a Good Samaritan ? Or simply doing the right thing?
It almost sounds like US Airways came along just in time. "Crain’s also reports that New York Waterway is in financial distress due to declining ridership and expiring equipment loans that won’t be renewed." My other favorite... "Mr. Imperatore is miffed that the airline’s senior officials have yet to acknowledge his company’s role." In other words, US airlines didn't do more than just thank them a million times and tell them how grateful they are for NY Waterway's assistance. He is upset because they didn't give me enough, or any monetary compensation for his help. I didn't see him suing or or complaining before when the company was ferrying people for free etc. The company is facing a decline in business like everyone else yet they have the nerve to sue. It all seems rather silly to me.
I smell BS! A big bucket of it! Sounds like someone is thinking they can get some money out of U.S. Airways this way and they shouldn't ! When the plane was sinking did they suddenly think "Oh yeah we're gonna be rich after this" ! :ducks:
