    Food processor and kitchen corners

Can someone explain me how to use the food processor? I had one in a game I was playing and it was never used when they were cooking. Is it only used for certain dishes? Or is there a special procedure that you need to follow in order for the processor to be used?

Also, if you've got a kitchen with some corners filled with cupboards, the game allows you to place electrical appliances on the corner counter, but I have the impression that the appliances will never be used when they're put there, is this correct?

The food processor is only used for certain foods. Your Sims will always attempt to use one if it is present in the room for a dish that can use it.

Corner counters are unusable: Anything put there will be deemed unreachable and not used. They can still hold a lamp, or some piece of artwork, however: I think plants can still be watered on corner counters as well.

If you have a food processor and see your sims ignore it and start chopping on a board, then the appliance is clearly inaccessible ( ie in a corner ). I'm not sure if a Sim will complain about not being able to get to the processor before brandishing the knife, but at any rate they should be using it.

If it's not being used and not in a corner, is it facing the right way? I think I had that problem in Sims 1, where some appliances were placed facing the wall.

As usual JMP was the first one to provide me with an answer, you definitely must have a caffeine instead of a wine cellar ;)

Thanks also to BrynHilde for the facing direction tip, that's indeed something I did not verify yet.

Will verify later why exactly it was not being used (when I'm not at work, ahum, keep it quiet :) )

Ah yeah, you've got to do something to get the stress level down, right? Or better, the Fun level up! :)

(whew) I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who sneaks in a little Sims Time at work. The company I work for blocks out many Sims sites, especially the EA one, but this one is okay. :)

Amen Kristal, I am lucky to get THIS one. I can't access ANYTHING here. And when I have down time I'd rather be here than falling asleep hehe. I can also access atforumz: http://www.atforumz.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=215 which is a little more adult oriented for those who like to express themselves a little more freely.

Cool, I can access that one too! Thanks Rhaevyn! See you over there! I can look at that one when I'm finished here. :)

Are you sure it's 'safe' to access at work!? I have a lot of bypassing traffic lol

I'm in a little office with my computer screen facing away from the door, so if I see someone coming in to visit I am minimize it.

Hey, Rhaevyn, I like the site, but it won't accept any new registrations. :( I can't talk to anyone, just lurk!
