Frozen/Stuck Sims or Clock Not Running

If Sims are frozen or the clock is not running, or Sims are all stuck in the street, you have Custom Downloaded Content (things you download and put into the game from other websites) acting in ways that we wouldn't expect, and they are interfering with your game. If you have ever downloaded custom patches that we didn't make, or objects that do completley new things than what our objects do, these are probably the cause of this problem. Even if you have custom skins or floors that are not working correctly, these may be the problem.
But more often than not they are iff files that have been added to directories in the game, like global and gamedata.

First try deleting all the iff files in yur global directory and see if that fixes it. If not you will need to back up all of your downloads, and completely reinstall your games:

    manually delete thesims folder
run the sims eraser (located on disc one of superstar)
    empty your recycle bin
    restart you computer
install your packs in the order they were shipped
Now you can try adding your downloads back in, in small sections, until you discover what the problem was.

It is due to mainly simslice patches, go to your gamedata/global folder and delete any global.iff files that u installed earlier
