Fufilling a want you dont know how to fufill...(Novels) My sim's new want is to Write a Novel and the fear for it is to write a bad novel, he has full creativity so I decided it would be neat to try nd write a novel. I clicked the computer and clicked on "Write Novel" but Im not sure how it works. None of the progress tubes came up and I dont know how I will know the novel is finished. Is there a different way to write/sell a novel? Thanks
It takes a fair old time to write a novel. Ask any novellist! There's no progress bar but there is hack that gives one over at modthesims2.com ... you'll know when your sim's finished cos the phone rings and your sim gets paid.
Yep, or you get a popup saying that it's finished. (Sometimes I get one, sometimes the other and sometimes both.)

If you get my very nice "novel progress bar" hack, writing a novel will display a proper progress bar so you'll actually have some idea how it's going....and it definitely takes awhile. With no feedback, you start to wonder if anything is happening.
