Funny Email I got..

Well this landed in my inbox on 5/24 and normally I don't post emails in public except I just found this one plain amusing and there's no way to ask for permission. I've edited some of the personal information out that was sent as part of the security, but anyhow, the email is just funny and I think the writer is a..well, i'll just say it this time...an imbecile.

I have been searching the web lately looking for pictures of other peoples cities to see how to do mass transite the best way. But all of the SC4 site want you to register just to read forums and look at some pictures, this is rediculous. Most people have to remember work login passwords, bank passwords, pin numbers, combination lock numbers, security logins, admin passwords, and many many other numbers, dates, and user names and passwords. WHY do you want one????? (don't bother to answer the email is bogus in case you couldn't tell) With all the identity theft and fraud, spoof emails, fishing emails and such, I would not give you my email unless I wanted to talk to you. And I would never sign up for a site just to read a forum. What happened to the free internet??? So fine keep your simcity secrets to your self and your little group of members. I will just muddle along as best as I can. And ps your image verification thing is STUPID and annoying.

So I'll just make this a public reply since the guy didn't want to give me a real email.

The purpose of registration is to limit people from using our services for hotlinking and other forms of abuse that would jeopardize this site.

Registration is free and there are three major free email services that you could use to supplement your main email address, including names like Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo. We don't sell your contact information and we're required by California law to keep some means of communication with you, if you have an account with us. Naturally we're not going to be asking for your address or phone number, but since the law allows us to use email (for the moment) we've opted to this. We're required simply because California has hacking-laws, which forces us webmasters and owners of websites to maintain a degree of security. If at anypoint we find security has been compromised, we're required by law to notify you the account holder what was breached and what information was compromised.

WorldSims is free. We're doing this to protect this community and hoping that rather than just reading, you would also particpate and become a member of the forum, not just lurk.

LOL Josh. I get around the problme of multiple passwords by just having the one. It is password ... drat ... now everyone will be able to steal all my secrets

LOL good reply Josh. Yep with all the free email addies, it's no big deal to have more than one. I have 6 email addies that I use for various reasons. My account info varies on each one, according to who will be using the email addies. Heck I even created one just for Maplestory :devious: hahaha.

At times when I doubt myself I load up the internet and read emails. So far it always makes my day.
