Real garage doors don't exist. You could probably mimic one by using a wall. As for couches, you could browse various fan sites. I believe The Sims Resource, http://www.thesimsresource.com should help in finding you a black couch., They have about a few thousand user submitted objects.

A couple of the walls I have made them diagonal and I'm finding it hard to insert a object. Keeps saying out of bounds or something like that. Can you solve this one for me, I bet you can? Probably the object refuses to be in a diagnoal corner because the object parameters are exceeding the wall design. Usually objects want the whole space. Diagonal walls cut a normal square, into half the space than it should.
