Going to School and Work I need MAJOR help...i am really starting to get mad at my game....i got really far into my game and it wont let me instruct my sims to go to work or school and they are going to get fired...whats up with this? Everytime i click on the bus it lets me choose go to school but the little icon immediately disappears in the top left hand corner....the same thing happens with the adult sims PLEASE HELP!!!! Thank you...another question....i was reading the other posts from other people and i see that the one person said their sim had a car??? how do i do that?
When this sort of thing occurs the first thing to check is that there is a route to the mailbox. Send your sim to the mailbox. If that fails you need to study the doors and any stairs to find out why the sims can't use them. If all else fails move the sims out, bulldoze the lot and start them over in a new house. If you come back tell us if the house is a Maxis made house or one that you downloaded, or else one you built yourself. Tell us what other items, if any, you have downloaded, especially including hacks. There are a number of hacks to fix problems but I can't recommend any unless I know more detail about the game. If the problem turns out to be a door (or some stairs) that sims won't go thru just delete it in build mode and replace with a new one. (If the game won't let you, use the moveobjects on to make the game let you select it)
I had that problem before when I played the Curious brothers. I didn't play them long because they were on the verge of getting fired. Then the next family I played the same thing happened, the carpool would come but the order to get into the car would fall out of their queue. I installed the first update that Maxi's put out and haven't had the problem since. So I would suggest that you get the updates from the official site and see if that doesn't fix your problem. Ruth
