Are you running the disk under an adminstrative account? Also we'd need to see the video adapter info also! So far your specs look ok!
Try the disk on another computer. Sounds like the disk is corrupt of you need to update your disk drive's firmware.

Video driver would not break explorer. Did you try the disk in another computer? We need to find out if the disk is faulty or your CD drive.
