Troubleshooting help needed please!!!

    help needed please!!!

    i put the disc into the the pc it doesnt 'auto run' but looks like its trying to and if i find the drive through 'my computer' and double click it the pc freeze's, here is my pc's info hopefully u can tell me if im able to run 'the sims 3' on my computer, many thanks!!

    Are you running the disk under an adminstrative account?
    Also we'd need to see the video adapter info also!
    So far your specs look ok!

    Try the disk on another computer. Sounds like the disk is corrupt of you need to update your disk drive's firmware.

    im not sure if this is the extra info you needed to see but hopefully it is, the frustration is unbearable sitting stairing at a new game you cannot try out lol, many thanks!

    also i just downloaded an update to my nvidia geforce8400 so it is now up to date!

    Did you uninstall the old driver first and then install the new one ?

    Video driver would not break explorer.

    Did you try the disk in another computer? We need to find out if the disk is faulty or your CD drive.
