help needed with trying to play sims on laptop

I just got a new laptop and installed all the sims 2 games including seasons which is my latest, everything works fine , graphics are great.
The only thing is the keypads of my laptop dont seem to work during the sims game and i tried to look for patches but no luck...its really frustrating cause i cannot even create a new family without using the keypads it wont allow me to save the family without a name.

Pls helpppp anyone has similar problem? thanks

Ooh that sounds annoying. Make sure you have disabled all background task before starting the game. If that doesn't help ...

Assuming you have Vista, look in

Documents >> EA Games >> The Sims 2 >> Logs

You want a file called [computer_name]-config-log.txt

(where [computer_name] is the name of your computer.

Upload that file with your next reply using the File Management button on the Post Reply form (you won't find that option on the Quick Reply form ... you'll need the Go Advanced button).
