Help Please: Custom Items. Hello! Slightly annoying problem. And I'm sure, a common question... I have downloded some custom items from the official sims2 website, received them in .Sims2Pack format, double clicked them, they've automatically changed (using the package installer) into .package format and are currently situated in Documents > EA Games > Sims 2 > Downloads (as suggested by many articles I've read.) Only I still can't figure out how to actually get them to work in my game. I'm on an intel duo imac with the Sims 2 (no expansion packs) Any help would be much appreciated, thanks. Pammi xXx
You sound just like me two months ago! I had the same exact problem, and it turns out that all I had not enabled it for my catalog. All you have to do is go to a neighborhood, then click on the three dots (Options) at the bottom left of your screen. When that comes out, go to the gears (Game Options? I'm not sure) and near the top right of the box that comes up should be a 'Custom Content Enabled in Catalog' or something like that. Just set it to yes, save and quit, and then re-enter and it should be working!
