Help w/Sims 2 PLEASE Hello ~ This is my first post to this BBS. Looking forward to being a member. I hope someone can help me with this question. How do you 'turn' carpeting in Sims 2 so the corner pattern carpets fit in the corner, etc. I have tried, cannot make it work. I have read Sims 2 BBS and FAQ pages and I cannot find the answer to this. Very frustrating Thanks in advance!!
Welcome to the fiorums here Lynne. What expansions do you have ? If you have Apartment Life you would just select the carpet or whatever floor tile you're using and as you get ready to place the tile use the , .keys to rotate them . Although I have seen where some floor tiles won't line up once you place them. As a matter of fact I don't think any of them will but it may just be my game. If you want to make a rotated tile then you would use the Homecrafter program and whatever graphics editor you use like MS Paint or the GIMP program to rotate them for you if you don't have AL. Basically you would open up homecrafter and and select the floor or wall tile you want to alter. Start up your graphics program and then "open" up the tile you want to change by going to the C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Projects folder (it will be just Documents with Vista) and selecting it. Go into the graphics editor and find the rotate feature (this will be in different spots in the upper menu depending on the program you use). Rotate it and save it and then use homecrafter to rename it and edit it and put it in the game.
