Babygirl, I'm not sure I'm understanding what you're friends problem is. Did she unistall the expansion before trying to install the basegame? If you registered your game, it might not work on her computer. Also, I'm not so sure that this is not illegal, and that she needs to purchase her own base game. I'm going to move this thread into the technical support forum where it belongs, and if it is illegal, it will probably be locked by someone more knowledgable than me.

FYI BabyGirl, please don't share your game with anyone. It only encourages piracy, and could get you into serious trouble.

It may seem unfair to young folks, who rarely have enough money for all their needs anyway , but secondhand games are really bad value for money. Most games become cheaper to buy brand new as time goes by. The original Sims game and expansions are still selling in the stores and are substantially cheaper than they were when they were first released. When you buy a game you are purchasing a license to use the software that was created by a corporation at considerable expense and whose shareholders are waiting, slathering tongued, with dollar signs rolling under their eyelids, for the profits to come rolling in ... and you thought you just bought a shiny disc in a pretty box
