Hi Dwayne. I'm not that well up on the ati chipset cards. I don't know a whole pile about the nVidia ones either but more. To be honest looking at the prices at your .co.nz site I think you'd be better off waiting a little while until you have nearer $200 to spend ... maybe time to get that sponge out and wash off a few neighbours' utes Seriously though the GeForce 5200 (especially that one with 256MB!) would be a whole lot more powerful than the ones you're currently looking at. Of course you'd probably notice some difference with any new card but not enough to make the cost worth it. I seriously advise you to hold off until you have a few more bucks, cos when money is tight you really wanna make sure that every penny earns its weight, right?

That's a relatively decent card, however if you are going to spend that much, I recommend spending a little more and getting a GF6 6600
I just upgraded to a Nvidea GeForce FX 5700 LE 128 MB video card and have a lower spec PC than you do, and Sims 2 runs perfectly on it, with all graphics options set to max I have blue ponds and streams too - they were brown before :(
