How do I delete structual mistakes when building Hi. Um in one of my houses, its a huge mansion and took a very long time to build, on the third and fourth floors there are decks (the fourth on top of the thirds) I accidentally made the fouth floor deck go out more than the third which looks really random. So I was wondering if theres any way to delete both the floor tiles and the railing that are out that far? You see I really dont want to start again as it took ages. Thanks
Have you tried the Ctrl key? I'm not in the game now rolleyes: obviously) and so much of building I do automatically that I don't think much about the keys I'm using, but I believe that when you place a tile (for example) you just highlight and click. To remove it you hold down the Ctrl key while clicking. You DO have to have a floor tile chosen first, even if you don't want to place it, in order to delete any. To delete the railing, and I suggest doing that first because I had trouble deleting a railing suspended in midair, go to the railing section of build mode, choose a railing, then hold the Ctrl key down and click/hold while moving the mouse as if you were installing the railing. Anyway, experiment with the Ctrl key. If you happened to have had supports under the flooring, like columns or walls, and have removed them. You may have to put them back in order to delete the floor, if they were necessary in order to place the floor. Hope this helps. And I hope it makes sense. It was a busy day at work and I'm unusually tired.
