How do I get rid of a cell phone? Hi everyone I have been reading this forum for a while and finally made up my mind and got myself a nick because of this problem I have with a cell phone. One of my sims wanted one and she bought one. Only now if she's sleeping (and really tired, with energy bar totally red) and someone calls in, the house phone rings and so does her cell phone: she wakes up, naturally. She answers the phone and she faints. Can I get rid of it or just put it somewhere outside the bedroom? Thank you.
Pescado's utterly stable and perfectly adorable phone hack include the option to turn the ringer off. It seems to be the best and safest modification. Unfortunately I don't know of a way for a sim to get rid of the thing. I stopped buying them as soon as I found out what a liability they (and the other gadgets) are. Make sure to download the correct version as the "old" one is for games without the University expansion. It may be too late for your sim who's already exhausted, but a way to keep the phone from ringing and waking you up is to fulfill the sim's social obligations before they go to bed. That means calling 3 sims to talk on the phone each day. It's not a guarantee the phone won't ring but it does cut interrupting phone calls a bit. Pescado has an autosocialize hack that lets you have your sim call the three people on her list with the lowest ratings automatically, which can save some time.
