How Do I Improve Romance Success I am trying to achieve love status for my male sim with atleast a couple of girls. He has been able to kiss a couple of them , but it is very finiky. One second he'll be able to hug, kiss, and make out with the girl, but in the very next second he can't. His score with the girls is like 100 and his happiness level/mood is very high. I don't know what to do. He had love status with one girl and somehow lost it. He had crush status with another one and lost it. He is somehow making them mad.
have you tried buying love potions from the gypsy or at least making sure your male sim is best friends with the women he wants to seduce? you could try and make sure none of the other women are on the same lot when he's with one of the women and you need to keep in contact everyday to make sure they don't fall out of love with each other.
This is extremely important! If any of the women catch your sim with another woman they will become jealous and slap your sim, their relationship score will go down to -100 and they will see your sim as an enemy. If you have NL the woman that caught your sim cheating will be furious with your sim too (more likely to make faces when thinking of said sim, steal their newspaper, kick over their garbage can etc.). So if any angry women run up and slap your sim, you're officially busted. You'll be able to get her back but it will take a while without love potions. Also, when you're trying to woo a girl and a new option comes up -- lets say 'Goose' for example -- don't hurry up and click on it as fast as you can because you're most likely to get rejected by that sim. Take your time, charm your way through things. Better safe than sorry. Listen to me, I sound like some kind of relationship therapist. (Oh and BTW, love potions and gypsy ladies you get with Night Life.)
Another thing you can do, even with the base game, is to have your sim practice romance in the mirror. He'll gain Charisma points and be more smooth with the ladies.
Totally agree with Muffin. You need to go slowly and make sure you keep in contact with them every day (just call them on the phone and talk). I also find it helps if you set up a 'date night' once a week or once a fortnight and romance them at the sims home (I don't take them out anywhere if my sim is dating more than one sim at a time...in case they get caught). On the date night, make dinner, chat, watch tv, play darts, sit in a hot tub (if you have one) etc...do a variety of things and all the time, flirt, entertain, hug and kiss. Make sure their needs are taken care of and don't be in a rush get them WooHooing. Just let them have a great night together. Cass.
