How do you get homework in University

It's strange, I have not gotten any assignements yet in University. My roomates are getting tons, but not me. I am currently doing other people's homework in other to satisfy my sim's desire for doing assignements.

There's supposed to be an nearly unlimited supply of assignments. Just click on your sim and he will magically produce some busywork to do.

and when you fill up your busywork bar then you can work on your basic skills not to mention research and don't forget your term paper....

Ah, just go to class, work on your basic skills, and sleep with the professor. You'll get by with a C. :D

You know what they call the kid who's last in his class at Med school? "Doctor".

Ah sorry, I thought I deleted this post, I found my answer two minutes after I asked the question.

Well the reason I wanted to get assignements is that she often expresses an aspiration for it. I'm a slave to my Sims's aspirations.

I did get my sim through college with straight A's, the whole way through. Not sure there is much of an advantage to it, but it does get your more money and more aspiration points when you make the Dean's list.

It was just practice anyway, because I didn't keep that saved folder. Couldn't stomach having 100+ ugly college kid files files cluttering up my save file folder.

Yeah, same here. Unless the want is a supremely bad idea or simply not something that can be done feasibly on the available resources, I usually try to do it.

Hey, be all you can be.

Well, I have good news and bad news about ugly-kid-files. The good news is that it's possible to clamp off a few sources of ugly kid generation. The bad news is that least SOME of them appear to be required for the game to function. All of this is also slightly conjectural at this stage.

Looks like I will have no choice. My teen sim has a fear of not getting an education. - 10,000 aspiration points ! ouchie! She is going to be a basket case if I don't send her off to college

I'd say that a limited dormie population is at least partially necessary for the functioning of the university, since it doesn't exactly work for you to have only one student on the entire campus. Besides, who would you feed to the cow plant?

I just wish I could make my own dormies just like I have done my own townies.

And 120 characters in the EP is overkill. How many professors and annoying roomies does one need

If your Sim is in the Secret Society (and you have the right Secret Society- it's in SS#1 which is found in Academie Le Tour), you can change some of the townies faces if they are also members of the Secret Society (and many of th college Townies are in the society.) That SS has "Dr. Vu's Automated Cosmetic surgeon" and it allows you to change their facial structure with the CAS tools.

If you have a graduated Sim, he/she can get that tool as a career reward in the Natural Science career.

I suspect that this was the answer to the "no ugly townies" groundswell.

But does it change genetics? Changing their faces might do for aesthetics purposes, but it still excludes them for breeding purposes. And what if you change their faces and then forget it's only skin deep....then you ended up with frankenstein children. Oh the horror! :D

He will go on his own when he gets the go to class icon, if he is in a good mood. I think you can click on the sim and select go to class, but I've never had to do it because they always have done it on their own.

I know that some hacks (like the telephone hacks) interferes with the sims going to class.

Michelle, click on your sim, and then click under "college". It should say "Go to final". If not, then you have accidently dowloaded a hack that is not compatible with Uni. You'll need to either download the clean installer from Mod the sims 2 or reinstall, but keep your saved games. :silly:
