How Embarrassink .... Made in Scotland, but maybe they should've used girders. Barely open for a year and its strings are snapping under the strain. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgow_and_west/7188577.stm Maybe they should have consulted the makers of Scotland's other national drink: Irn Bru, which, as everyone knows is made in Scotland from girders. Watch a Christmas TV ad for Irn Bru from a year or two back.
Wow. This is the second major bridge incident in the UK. Wasn't there a wobbling bridge too in London?
LOL At least our bridges don't collapse completely ... well not since the 19th century when our cast iron rail bridges started falling into rivers. The wobbly London bridge was an innovative design for a footbridge: It was all handled in a very British manner, we laughed and the bigwigs harumphed and asked for more money to install some shock absorbers.
*looks at China and whistles innocently* Wait isn't there a song that goes "London Bridge is falling down?"
Wasn't there an American who bought London Bridge, believing he was buying the iconic Tower Bridge? * Mirelly whistles with a cheeky wink *
