How Obssessed are you? Well Id say Im pretty obssessed, I have a pad with 11 families, suburb names, Sim names and Surnames as well as house plans. Im planning the sim houses in an architect program I'd say I need help....hahahahahaha :tired: tired of waiting
I'm pretty obsessed. I now am the proud owner of a new computer: P4 3.2ghz HT 1gb of RAM PNY Geforce 6800 with 128mb 250gb SATO harddrive And today the priority was moving my Sims2 stuff onto my new machine. (And getting the mail and internet up and running so that I could do my usual "rounds" of SimCity BBS, WorldSim forum and The SimsBBS. (And having to *find* all the various passwords is a pain!) And of course, first off I loaded all the software for my paint programs.
That's ok, I preordered the game last week, and I don't even have a computer to run it on! LMAO!!! dang it! i knew i missed a step there!
I would say I'm moderately obsessed. I think the most obsessive thing I've done is scour the "floorplan" websites and creating a new "favorites" folder with links to all the ones I'm going to build. Oh yeah, and I DID buy SC4 just to build neighborhoods. Oh, and I also bought a new $100 video card... Hmm. Maybe a little? (Kat, your computer makes me drool. No wonder you are so excited!)
I agree that you are at least "a little" obsessed. Shoot, if you are signed onto *any* Sims forum on a regular basis you are. As to the computer However, left to its own devices last night to download my Netscape upgrade, the stupid thing decided to install it on its own (without supervision) and it messed up royal. So, I'm on my old one this morning!
I also forgot to mention that I was downloading floor plans then recreating them in chief architect, well its supposed to keep my mind off of waiting for the sims, but so far its not working, maybe clothes shopping will do the trick
Obsessed? Yes, very much thank you! I'm downloading all the great skins for S2 like clothes with real logos(such as beer and sports stuff, go Dallas Cowboys/Memphis Grizzlies/Colorado Avalanche). I'm also going through professional house plan books to design the best places for Frat, Soriety, and Old folk home(don't forget bachelor pads). I'm thinking about stuff like making houses that are reality shows like the bachelor/bachelorette, survivor, and especially big brother/real world.. Any house with combustible sims in it will be great!
To add to your house plans addiction, there are some great online sites. This site lists several links: http://www.houseplanes.com/g-common2.php?ppid=1040&K=house plans This one is my absolute favorite: http://www.globalhouseplans.com/index.htm Here are some more of my favorites (in no particular order http://www.amazingplans.com/ http://www.stockplans.com/ http://www.oldhouseweb.com/houseplans/ http://www.coolhouseplans.com/ http://www.dreamhomesource.com/BestSell.asp http://theplancollection.com/ And a final fun one: http://www.castlemagic.com/color.html But be careful. I found so many houses I liked and put into a file that when I transferred it all from my old computer to this new one it took over a half a gb of space just for all the houseplan files. :winks:
Kat, you are TRULY a Simmer after my own heart. I have a section on my browser for all the floorplans that I've found so far. It's embarassing to say the least. =) And SOO many of them seem possible with the new achitecture tools we're getting!
Those books I got are a few months out-dated(Spring04), so its great to find the latest house plans. Its also good that they're free too! I like the sites with the 3d views.
