How to add logos to clothing

Being an alum of a Big 12 school, I naturally want my sims to show off their school spirit. All I want is to figure out is how to put a small school logo on the front of the basic white t-shirt for both male and female sims.

I got the textures exported from Bodyshop and succesffully opened them into Paint where I successfully transposed a logo onto the front of the tee. When I click on that texture, it shows complete with logo but even though I've saved it. The tee still shows as white when I re-load it in Body shop.

    What am I doing wrong?

First step si to make sure that you haven't overlooked the two obvious errors.

    (a) Did you edit the correct image; body~stdMatBaseTextureName.bmp? Also is it still a bitmap?

    (b) Are you certain you put the logo on the shirt's front? The front of an outfit is on the right hand side of the images. Did you rotate the mannekin to check its back?
