How to kill MSN Messenger.. Hola.. I just thought i would post this in case some one else out there is wondering how to kill msn messenger. It kept popping up and asking to download the new version.. if i said yes it did it, tried to log on, then asked to download the new version... *shrug* Dont like it so i got rid of it If you have XP you can go to the run window (windows key + R or start->run) and type in the following command: RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove That should ask if you want to unistall it, say yes and it does then requires a restart. when it restarts it (for me) asked to clean out the profiles cause it's been uninstalled.. Dont know if this'll work for everyone with xp.. but it's worth a shot at least. Good luck
I don't really hate my messanger but I hate the new hotmail.... One question: If I get rid of the MSN messanger update (6.1 or whatever) will my hotmail go back to its old self?
i dont hate msn,i cant live without it aftter simchat closed down it was and still is my only way of keeping in touch with people from simchat..so i like it lol
i dont hate it but i dont really use it. i only use it to see if i have emails, almost never chat cause no1 is on it they all on aim
Darn. Oh well, worth a shot. I rarely use messanger anyway. There are only a couple of people on it that actually respond when talked to. Maybe it's a sign. :bored:
I use trillian Therefore msn is useless to me.. trillians nice cause it's all 4 popular imps (lol.. imps.. just made that up Instant Messaging ProgramS).. basically aim, icq, msn, and yahoo.
Nobody is on your MSN list? Noone respondes when you talk to them there?? She's perfect for those times when you just desperately have to listen to the inane ramblings of a mom driven crazy by days trapped in the same house with her kids.
