How to reset preferences? (Mac) I would like to reset all my settings for the Sims 2 (I have the University Expansion pack only, if that's significant.) I would like to reset all the settings- I would like EVERYTHING to be back to default. I cannot figure out how to do this without reinstalling the game. I'll do this if necessary, but I would like to know if there is an easier way. Thanks. P.S. I have lost the manual. Sorry. :[
I'm not sure if it's the same on a Mac as a PC, but if you delete your The Sims 2 folder (My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2), the game will automatically re-create the shipped neighborhoods when you start the game again. But if you want to keep your downloads, make sure you save them in a different place first, or they're gone forever.
