How well will it run on this? Let's hear your thoughts

I have the Sims 2 on the following computer and on the lowest settings (for everything) it still runs somewhat sketchy, slow frame rate and all, especially when there's a lot going on and multiple sims and all (and yes I closed all the backround tasks, etc. etc.)...
    2.0 gHz pentium 4 processor
    512 ram
    30 gig hard drive
intel extreme graphics card (ugh), and no seperate AGP port...
I think the main reason it is running poorly is because of that pathetic graphics card, but I can't really do anything very affective about it because of it not having an AGP port, but I have another computer which does have an AGP port which I am currently installing the following things on, how do ya' think it'll run the Sims 2? and on what kinda settings?...
    Athlon XP 1700+ (1.47 gHz)
    748 ram
    80 gig hard drive
Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB graphics card (yeah baby)...
what are your thoughts? is she gonna run nicely?

Your actually going to see pretty good results from the Athalon computer. Its not going to be top of the line by any means, but it should be more than sufficient to run the Sims. I run the Sims on a 1.57 Ghz Athalon, with 512 Megs of ram and a G-force 4 MX440 (64 Meg) card, and it runs ok, I just get a lot of slow downs when I build too much in one house.

I suggest you look at your paging file also, make sure it is set properly... I will be posting a Tut on how to do this, which believe it or not, really does help a system perform better.
