    Human posture looks unusual

recently, i took a glimpse of the new screenshots of sims 2. in many of them, people just stood there, like a bunch of stiff boards; hands to their sides, staring straight ahead, feet together. Almost as if they were in the military or something. one of the major improvements i was hoping for in the sims 2 was better human movement/postures. Maxis should use the human motion capture system to make movement more realistic. don't u think?

Screenshots are just one frame of reference. Movies would probably be a more accurate representation of the full range of motion the sims 2 have to offer.

Most of the movies show a LOT of good movement and body language in the sims when they're animated, like you can tell the extroverted sim from the introverted one based on HOW they are standing or walking. The screenshots can't show the movement, but they've shown them running, jumping, leaning towards each other etc. in ways that are much more realistic than the old sims 1 sims. Very expressive. :) Check out all the newer screenshots and you can see them getting better too.
