It would be unusual to hear much about such topics here. This is more of a fun forum and discussions, rather than informational things. I hope you enjoy yourself here!
Me thinks it's another spammer, Kat... Oh, and off topic but we should have a thread where we post what we did or will do today, to make the forum more active...at least for non spammers.
We sure get a lot of spammers! Did we get as many with the old system or are they just more persistent? I like your idea about posting more on the forum so that nonspammers would have a better idea where to post.
It seems like most spammers like to post in old threads (resurrecting them.) Perhaps we should close them as they come up so that legitimate people will just make their own.
IMO there are more spammers now than there was with vBulletin. I'm all for threads being closed after being inactive for a period of time.
It's a two fold issue honestly. We lack a lot of the anti-spam protection on this platform since it's a lot newer, but it's on the top of my list to push for in some shape or form in the next major release.
But then users don't get to have there say. The thread should probably be split, but I'm not exactly sure where to put it.
