i found kool stuff for game.can't load them..HELP I Found So Many Neat Downloads ...ohhhh I Desire Them So Much. However I Am Not Very Smart With Computer Stuff And Never Could Get Them Into The Game. If You Can Send Me Some Tips On Howto..i Would Really Be Happy..also Has Anyone Loaded Some New Stuff In That Is Neat..let Me Know What And How It Went. Thanks The Lostsim.
There are a lot of us who are "downloading addicts". First, you need to make sure that your content works with the game. If it doesn't have the right EP/SPs, it may not show up. Most of the time the site will say whether something is compatible with the base game alone or what EP/SPs it needs. Next you need to remove the download from the zip or rar file it's in. Using something like PowerZip or WinRAR can do that. Zip files, if you have a computer which has an XP operating system, can be unzipped by right clicking and choosing "extract here". Once your download is extracted, then you need to look at the form it is in. It will be either a .package file or a .sims2pack file. If you have a .sims2pack file, all you need to do is right click on it and choose "open with Sims2pack Installer" (or just "open" will often work.) If it is a .package file, you need to place it in your downloads file. If you just have the basegame, make sure that you don't use a subfolder. If you have EPs, then you can use a subfolder within your downloads folder to organize your downloads. Just don't have any subfolders *within* a subfolder. You'll find the downloads folder in My Documents\EA GAMES\The Sims 2.
