I got a problem with blinking walls and updating my driver! I have installed Sims 2 and Sims pets expansion on my laptop. However, the background keeps randomly blinking red in the family creation bit and any wallpaper you put on the walls just stays red and the game play is a bit laggy and robotic. I searched the forum and figured I needed to update my driver. I read the very helpful guide posted on how to do this, but I am now stuck . I got all my driver info up and went to the ATI website to see if i could update my driver and then it all got confusing and I got a bit blonde lol. It said that I had to choose my operating system (WINDOWS XP HOME), my product family (MOBILITY RADEON) and the product. The problem I got is that none of the products they list match with what I got written on the DirectX. All it says is Device name : MOBILITY RADEON, chip:MOBILITY RADEON AGP (0x4C59) and the main driver is ati2dvag.dll. All the products listed on the ATI site have names like MOBILITY RADEON X1300, or X800 and mine aint X nothing!!!! So how do I find out what one I need to use to update my driver??? Or is there another reason that my walls are blinking? PPLLLEEEEAAASSSEE can someone help me as these are my daughters games and she is very quickly getting on my nerves - 'it's not working properly mum, why isn't it working properly mum, why haven't you fixed it yet mum?' etc etc. My system specs are as follows: Processor: Intel Pentium 3 mobile cpu 1000MHz System memory: 256 mb ram Windows: XP Professional (5.1) Free Hard disk space:9.65 gb Total Hard disk space:18.6 gb Direct X version:9.0C Display
Does the laptop have some kind of sticker or marking which says what brand it is and what make/model it is?
