IGN: Eyes on The Sims 3 at GC 2008 The EA representative giving us the demo assured us that all the Sims we would see during the presentation could be fully created by the player, but a scenario was already in place for the sake of the demo. We were introduced to Arne, a prospective politician whos dream is to become, I kid you not, the Leader of the Free World. The representative zoomed our view back into Arne and his roommates house where they were currently having a party to help nurture Arnes political career. During the various conversations playing out at the party, a wish popped up, indicating to us that Arne wanted to deliver an inspirational speech. This is just one of the many elements in the Sims 3 that will allow your Sims to interact with each other. Thus, an inspirational speech was given and several delicious donations were given to Arnes campaign fund. After this section of the demo, the representative zoomed out to the Map view again to give us a more detailed explanation of the perspective and the town we were viewing. The Map view will enable players to locate POIs and Map Tags that reference important Sims or locations. After observing all this information, we were told that all the Sims of the town have their own lives theyll grow up, raise families and eventually die in time, making it a very dynamic simulation of a real community.
