I'm Baaaack!!!!

I'm Baaaack!!!!

Heya everybody, I'm baaack!!! I sure missed everyone!! The boys all had a really good time, and we again for the third year in a row came home with no injuries. :classic: Our annual Dodge Ridge Ski/Snowboarding Scout Trip was another success. We had a total of about 45 scouts and siblings along with about 25 adults who attended this year. We all stayed at the Sonora Youth Center, which is a very nice open lodge type dwelling that is a log cabin.

We were able to have our regular place in the back lodge that is also the lodge that has the Ski Patrol, and the boys all had a blast. My two sons had a really good time snowboarding, and Matt(the younger) got up the courage to go up one of the ski lifts to come down a much larger hill this year, and Chris worked on new moves. They are both proud of their accomplishments they made this year, and aside from being a little sore, are both doing really good.

Bruce took his cb and ham radio and hiked up to the top of one of the summits behind the lodge to see how far he could talk on the portables. I stayed in the lodge and played some games on my gamecube, which was a big hit with the boys!! I was able to catch up on some of the teens who I have watched grow in scouts and see what they were up to. We also have ventures in our troop, so we get to keep the boys who have made eagle active in our troop until they reach the age of 21. One in perticular is a little partial to me, I have worked with his mom on many of our scouting activities such as Cub Scout Day Camp, so he has adopted me as one of his mom's who is cool. He made eagle last year. He always makes sure that I am doing ok, and he knows I will cut up with him, but keep him in line at the same time. :classic:

So, to wrap this up, we all had a really good time, but I am so glad to be back home with my other extended family. :classic:
