Installing hacks Really sorry if I'm missing something obvious here, but I've checked the FAQ's and searched around the forums (and on google...) and can't actually find out how to install hacks. I can only assume that this is because it's so blindingly obvious that everyone already knows it. Except me, apparently. Also, I'm posting this here just in case theres a different system for installing them in macs, because I found a website that had installation details, but it appeared to be for PC's, not macs. So if anyone could give me some instructions or direct me to a good site with instructions on it or something on how to do this, I would be very happy and again, sorry if the answer is very obvious and I've overlooked it. Doesn't the Mac version have the same directory structure as the PC version? If so, I would think you'd just put them in the Sims 2 downloads folder or something. If I had a mac, I'd be able to tell you more. To tell the truth, I only use Windows for games LOL. I'm a Unix junkie.
Zetsumei is correct...for most hacks, you just put them in the Downloads folder. If there isn't a Downloads folder, create one and place it as follows: Documents >>> EA Games >>> The Sims 2 >>> Downloads Make sure that Downloads is spelled correctly, and that you use a capital D. In addition, I place all of my hacks in a subfolder of the Downloads folder, called Hacks. That way, they are all together and easy to remove if you run into problems.
