Is there a Cheat For...

Is there a Cheat For making say a sim teen grow up into an adult right away???

 

I don't know of any cheats but there is the multi-painting hack that you can add or subtract days from the age to make them age faster or stay younger. This is the one that you can add skills, raise asperation, change jobs etc. You have to click on MEROLA'S SIMS 2 on the left menu to get to the page that has it.

 

I don't understand how to download it.

 

When you find one of Merola's objects to download it does look a bit like there is no way to d/load the described item. Just move the mouse around and you will find that the red lettered title immediately below the main picture is a link that will download a zip file ...

I believe that you right click the folder and click extract all files and then it opens a little box where you need to choose a directory. Then choose C drive or whatever drive the sims is installed on and go through all the folders until you get to the downloads folder. Hope I helped.

 

This what I do, Flamey.

First find:
C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads

When you can see the little yellow folder icon called Downloads right click it and choose Send to >> then select Desktop (create Short Cut)
Then close that window. Look on desktop for the shortcut and keep it there for future download use.

Zip files.

1. Double click the desktop shortcut to Downloads
2. Double click the zip file. This will open it with Winzip (if it doesn't come back to me, I'll tell you how to get it ... )
3. In the windzip window you will see some files. If one is labelled Read Me double clcik and read it! Duh! It might tell you what to do.
4. Check the remaining files to make sure they have names that end with '.package'. If they do drag them over the Downloads folder and let them go.
5. If there are no .package file files you can't put them in Downloads.
6. If there are files that end with Sims2Pack these are files that you double click to install ... you will get a message from Sims Installer that is part of the game.
7. Job done. Close all windows. Save the zip file somewhere in case you need it again ... eg after a big crash.

One useful bit advice. Before adding anything to Downloads make a copy of the whole Downloads folder. Then if anything you download does something nasty to your game you can easily go back.

Don't build a home without it. When I first got it I didn't realize that it was divided into 3 sections, I missed that part on the web page I guess I just kept getting random menus. Finally figured it out though

yes flameangel there is a n age sims cheat to turn teens into adults but im not sure i can list it here?
